#1
I have to say, this mailbox looks more like a trash can.

#2
I may have mentioned this before, but my biggest impression from this trip to Chicago was how confident people seemed. You could see it in the way people dressed, across different cultures and backgrounds. It felt like a place where many kinds of aesthetics coexist. Whether that also means true mutual acceptance, I am not so sure.

#3
On a bus in Chicago, passing through busy streets along the way.

#4
Back in Nagoya, Japan, the streets I saw from the bus were mostly lined with low-rise buildings.

#5
Taking photos on the streets of Chicago requires a certain level of awareness. You have to be careful not to make anyone uncomfortable. I took this photo while crossing the street, pressing the shutter just before the car reached me.

#6
Getting ready to fly back to Taiwan. This was taken at night at Chicago O'Hare International Airport.

#7
Planes of different sizes taking off and landing.

#8
The feeling of heading back to Taiwan, quietly rising from within.

#9
A six-year-old already settling into airplane mode.

#10
Watching an iPad on a plane has one advantage. It is not interrupted by announcements, as long as everything is downloaded beforehand.

#11
The flight route preview, stretching across half the world.

#13
Waking up in Taiwan. It was daytime again. This was the view while heading out at noon to buy lunch.

#14
At a typical lunchbox shop, you almost never see genuine Yakult.

#15
This Konica Big mini HG BM-300 I have happens to be a rare unit with a broken flash. Paired with ISO 400 film, it still performs well for night street photography without introducing too much camera shake. I cannot quite remember where I went that day. I only remember that after returning to Taiwan, I went straight back to work. Busy, and tired.

#16
Back in Taipei. Everything felt familiar.

#17
Passing by Taipei Nan Shan Plaza on the way to work. Every time I see this building, I think about the meaning behind its design, resembling hands pressed together. After coming back from Chicago, I have a deeper appreciation for how architecture shapes society.

#18
After returning to Taipei, it rained heavily. Yesterday, the streets were flooded. I was saved by this Gogoro 1, which managed to pass through the water without issue, while many gasoline scooters stalled.

#19
Today’s plan was to go hiking, catching the tail end of the rhinoceros beetle season.

#21
I did not like tofu pudding when I was a child, but somehow I have grown to accept it. Back then, I only liked tapioca pearls.

#22
The rolls from Chicago, just picked up from development.

#23
The desk is a bit messy, film everywhere.

#24
Some slogans become invisible simply because they are too common. This is an ad on the metal gate of my apartment, yet I have never clearly remembered which company it belongs to.

#25
I came here today to buy materials for work. I have always liked art supply stores. There is something about the atmosphere that brings me back to a sense of calm from childhood.
This is the full set from this roll, shot with the Konica Big mini HG BM-300 and Kodak UltraMax 400. Thank you for viewing.
