It has been a while since I last wrote one of these. The past few weeks have been full, mostly work. Still, I am glad I kept shooting film through all of it.

#1
This was my son's end-of-term performance at kindergarten. His last one before moving on to elementary school.
In previous years, I would always bring a long telephoto lens to events like this. This time, I did not. Just a Minolta AF-C.
I wanted to actually watch.
Photography, in situations like this, can easily take you out of the moment. You start thinking about framing, timing, exposure, and somewhere along the way, the experience itself becomes secondary. This time, I chose not to let that happen.

#2
After the performance, parents were guided back to the classroom to pick up their kids.
I noticed one of my son's artworks posted on the door, a hot air balloon. I took a photo with it.
The kindergarten he attends places a strong emphasis on art. Some people see art as something optional for kids, just a way to pass time. I do not see it that way.
Learning art teaches something much more fundamental: that there is no single correct answer. And once you understand that, you start to see possibilities where others might only see limits.
That kind of perspective stays with you.

#3
This is the first parent of one of my son's classmates that I ever got to know. It felt like a moment worth keeping.

#4
Back on the train again. This time not for a study group in Taipei, but for a client meeting.
During this period, my shoulder injury had not fully recovered, so public transportation became the only option.

#5
I once read that 45 degrees is the best angle for photographing buildings. Since then, I have found myself trying it whenever I get the chance.

#6
A small shop I passed on the way to a meeting. It looked like it had not changed in decades, everything frozen in place.
I wanted to take a photo, but it felt too direct. So I stood at an angle where the owner would not notice, and took it quietly.

#7
Every time I see a nursing home sign on the street, it makes me uncomfortable.
If I ever reach a point where I have to rely on that kind of care, I honestly do not know if I would want to keep going.

#8
A quick look at the Minolta AF-C's sharpness. I am satisfied.

#9
A very honest representation of how buses feel in Taiwan.

#10
On buses in New Taipei, there are so many priority seats that it almost feels excessive. There are not that many seats to begin with, yet so many of them are marked.

#11
A small personal indicator of the housing market: how many random flyers you see posted everywhere.

#12
I have always wanted a small vintage electric fan, the kind you see from Japan's Showa era. But I would not dare to use an actual antique. Old wiring is not something I want to risk.

#13
A small everyday essential: the Apple HomePod mini. Though if I ever switch to Android, this will probably be the first thing I lose.
This is the full set from this roll, shot with the Minolta AF-C 35mm f2.8 and Kodak Vision3 200T/5213 (remjet removed). Thanks for reading.
