This Ricoh R1 is a bit hard to deal with, because its flash is broken and the focus is slightly back-focused. I don't know how much to sell it for, and I don't plan to repair it. It would be great if Taiwan had an environment for "starting-bid-of-one-dollar" fire-sale auctions — sell it for whatever, and just let luck decide. Because the camera itself has problems, once you subtract the shots of family and testing, there really aren't many photos to upload.
Lately I've genuinely been struck by a thought: it's such a shame for anyone who treats Instagram as their only publishing platform. Because the Instagram platform itself doesn't care about its users, doesn't care about user experience, and places no value on social good. One day this platform will inevitably vanish for some reason, and when that day comes, everyone who once treated it as their everything will vanish along with it.
I still remember how so many services that burst onto the scene did so with no warning at all — they just inexplicably became ubiquitous. Just like today's AI development tools. A year ago, people might still have asked, "Did you use AI to make this?" Now people have switched to, "You didn't use AI to make this?"

Quietly, I've become a regular at this shop too — "DEP Lab." I've been getting my film developed and scanned here for about a year now, though their sign has always read "Yang-he Digital Imaging" rather than "DEP Lab."

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). Came to see someone off that day.

I often pass by this light.

The Ricoh R1 30mm f3.5 is actually quite fully featured — it's just that for a bit more money you can move up to the Ricoh GR1, and then for a bit more on top of that you can move up to the GR1s.

I'd forgotten this was black-and-white film — it can't quite capture the hazy, misty feel of a gas station at night.

A morning at a guesthouse in Yilan. This weekend I took my son to a gathering with his old kindergarten classmates. Our itinerary was simple: we booked out an entire guesthouse in Yilan. Everyone had a great time — us parents included.

That's this roll — Ricoh R1 30mm f3.5 with Ilford Pan 100. Thanks for reading. The next roll will have more photos, since it's the Ricoh GR21.
